Hamid Zafar competed in the next season of “On the Track” alongside author and teacher Frida Boisen.

But after DN’s revelation that he had been writing hateful posts about Jews and gays under a pseudonym for several years, SVT announced that they were removing the two already recorded episodes.

– Of course, it is the right decision for SVT to remove these programs. Everything else would have been unthinkable. We defend completely opposite values, Hamid and I, said Frida Boisen.

SVT also called the decision to remove the episodes “obvious”.

They replace Hamid Zafar in SVT’s “On the track”

It is now clear that SVT will record two new episodes where they replace Swedish radio profiles Louise Epstein and Thomas Nordegren.

– It has been an intense Friday and weekend to solve this. We have now decided that returnees Thomas Nordegren and Louise Epstein will come and meet the two teams that competed against Hamid Zafar and Frida Boisen, Christina Hill, SVT Gothenburg’s program director, tells SVT Väst.

The new competing duo will face the same opponents as Frida Boisen and Hamid Zafar: Sanna Lundell and Plura Jonsson and Sarah Abadi and Johan Glans.

– They have kindly agreed to replay their games so now it will be to record two completely new shows with these two teams, says Christina Gill.

Regarding the revelation of the hateful posts, Hamid Zafar told Expressen:

– These are opinions that I do not defend today, and for all those who felt badly affected by those opinions, I apologize.
