The Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Frank Jensen (S), receives support to continue in office despite allegations of rape and harassment.
The decision was made after a four-hour crisis meeting on Sunday. He himself called the meeting after information published by the Jyllands-Posten newspaper last Friday. He is accused by two women of insulting them with unwanted touches.
Jensen, who is also vice president of the Social Democrats, responded to the accusations on social media: “It is an event and details that I remember differently. But the fact is that some women have experienced that I have crossed the border. And then the responsibility he completely relapsed and clung to me, “he wrote.
After the crisis meeting, Jensen said he now wants to be part of the solution in combating sexual harassment, after “being part of the problem.”
In early October, the leader of the Radical Left party, Morten Østergaard, left office after being accused of sexual harassment.
