Looking for Wilma – by the ex-boyfriend’s house

November 14 is a year since 17-year-old Wilma Andersson was last seen alive.

She disappeared without a trace, but her head was found in ex-boyfriend Tishko Ahmed’s apartment nine days later. The rest of the body has never been found.

Ahmed is sentenced to life in prison in the district court and is now awaiting the sentence of the Court of Appeal, which falls on October 23.

During the fall, the family had a funeral with those closest to them and on Friday a funeral was held at the Herrestad church in Uddevalla.

Volunteers are divided into patrols

On Sunday, the search for the girl’s remains continued. At 10 in the morning a large number of volunteers gathered and divided into patrols of five to ten participants in each one.

– There are about 80 people who are watching. And more have heard of it and are on the way, says Mikael Jensen, task leader at Missing Sweden, a newly formed volunteer organization.

– Some areas where we are searching have been scanned before, and we are also looking for new places. We leave the ex-boyfriend’s house and work to get out. We search forests, wells, abandoned buildings, and other nooks and crannies. We have divers looking in the water, continues Mikael Jensen.

The plan is for the app to last until 4pm on Sunday afternoon.

– But it’s flexible. Certainly there are those who want to continue. Interest in searching for Wilma’s remains remains very high. It’s absolutely fantastic, says Mikael Jensen.
