Dominik Bokk is ready for Djurgården for the rest of the season.

The club has several players away and is last in the SHL table.

– We believe and hope that it will help us improve shooting efficiency and shots on target, says sporting director Joakim Eriksson.

SHL’s transfer suspension applies for next season and that makes it possible for Djurgården to borrow Dominik Bokk from NHL club Carolina Hurricanes.

Anton Hedman and Mattias Guter have suffered concussions and it is not known if they will be able to continue their careers, Tom Nilsson is injured in the long term.

Michael Haga is suspended for two more games with a three-game suspension and Tobias Björnfot was suspended for three games on Friday.

Additionally, Alexander Holtz, William Eklund and Albin Grewe may be selected from the Junior Crowns for the JVM in Edmonton.

– Dominik Bokk is a fast and playful forward with a good shot, says Joakim Eriksson.

“External funder”

Djurgården has already taken bonuses away from its players to save money due to the corona pandemic.

Now the club writes that the loan is made possible by an outside financier, as is the American Hill Bobby Nardella loan from Washington Capitals: “From a financial perspective, this hiring has also been made possible by the financial contribution we received from a external financier with a very big heart. Dominik Bokk is a rookie player in terms of age, which means that his salary costs are low.

The 20-year-old German right-forward has a great future in the NHL, he played for Rögle last season and has previously played two seasons for Växjö.

Debuts tomorrow

Dominik Bokk already joined the team on Friday, on Saturday night HV71 awaits at home in Hovet in Stockholm.

On Thursday night, there was a loss to Linköping toppers at 5-4 in Östergötland, Djurgården dropped to last place in the SHL table and has only one triple this season.

In the last five games, Djurgården has received three penalties.
