Pastor Ingvar Humlén held four memorial services in memory of Wilma. A maximum of 50 people were allowed to participate in each service at Herrestad church.

Wilma, 17, from Uddevalla, who according to a verdict was killed by her boyfriend, was honored Friday with four memorial services at Herrestad church.

A maximum of 50 people were allowed to attend each service, due to the risk of corona infection.

Pastor Ingvar Humlén spoke, among other things, about how many people were involved in the search for Wilma, when she disappeared in November 2019. The popular song “Uti vår hage” was played and the church bells rang.

On the outer wall of the church, visitors lit candles that were later moved to Wilma’s grave.

The girl’s 23-year-old boyfriend was sentenced in district court to life in prison for murder and disorderly conduct. The man, however, denies the crimes. The ruling of the Court of Appeals arrives next Friday. Only one of Wilma’s body parts has been found.
