The school principal tells the newspaper that what happened is strange and that the photographer made the wrong decision.
The Swedish Association of Student Photographers (SER) writes in its image policy that it is not allowed with “banners, posters, clothing or other attributes with racist or discriminatory messages, as well as political and religious messages.”
It can be seen as a prohibition to carry a cross in the image.
– Then you can interpret it. So I don’t think a Christian cross is particularly disturbing. This is an individual problem. I do not want to interpret it so rabidly, says Märt Pärtma, president of SER, to Dagen, and opens to a change in policy.
