A man in Boliden in Skellefteå was mugged at home and had his finger cut off.
Two men are now in custody, suspected of extremely serious assault and aggravated robbery.
– This is similar to the Godfather movies, says an anonymous person to the Norran newspaper.
The crimes occurred at a home in Boliden on Monday night.
– So far, the investigation shows that a person has been subjected in part to a particularly serious assault and in part to a serious robbery on Sunday night in Boliden. The two crimes have occurred inside, prosecutor Oskar Lundberg told the Norran newspaper.
According to the newspaper, the man had a finger cut off in connection with the robbery at his home.
On Wednesday, two men between the ages of 20 and 25 were arrested. They are suspected of extremely serious battery and aggravated robbery. A man denies the crime through his defender.
– At this time, one of the men is suspected of probable cause for the two crimes, which is the strongest degree of suspicion. The other man is reasonably suspected, Oskar Lundberg tells Norran.
The Norran newspaper has spoken with several people who have worked with criminal investigations in Skellefteå for several years. None of these have heard of anything like this before.
– This is very much like the gangster movies or the Godfather movies, but nothing when it comes to the crime in Skellefteå, says one of them.
On Thursday, the district court ruled that the two men should be detained.

“Shooting in the street”
The incident is one of several crimes that have occurred in Boliden in the past year. It has been about violent riots, shootings in the street and a situation similar to a robbery at the gas station.
– These are events that take place in circles where they are known, it is often the debts that must be paid. This is not something unique to Boliden, Police Chief Lars Westermark tells Norran.
