In September, the police received a complaint of sexual harassment on the Rosa Express bus line, where a man was said to have assaulted a woman.
The man was questioned by the police and later released. In a local Facebook group, the man has been warned and area residents have been vigilant and alerted when he appeared on the bus.
Police have expressed concern that the mood surrounding the situation has been stoked on social media, where third- and fourth-hand information has been circulating.
At the same time, the investigation of the facts has continued.
The man was arrested after an alarm last Saturday
According to GP, a girl raised the alarm to police last Saturday after the man in question sexually harassed her at Rosa Express.
The police showed up and were able to arrest him.
He has now been arrested for probable cause on suspicion of sexual harassment or stalking in eight cases, the newspaper writes.
– You have searched for people on the bus and there have been unwanted contacts. That is probably the common approach, Chamber prosecutor Moa Widjer explains to GP.
The man denies the crime and has been silent during interrogations.
– We don’t know much about him. He does not seem to have a permanent connection in Sweden and appears to be homeless, Moa Widjer tells GP.
