A shooting took place at Docentgatan in Malmö during the afternoon.
A man in his 30s was admitted to the emergency room with injuries related to the shooting, according to police.
– Of course it is striking that it is a shooting like this in the middle of the day, says police spokesman Jimmy Modin.
At 2:32 p.m., the alarm for gunshots reached the police.
– At half past two, several calls came about shooting in Docentgatan, we are in the place and we have blocked there, says Jimmy Modin, press spokesman for the police in the South police region.
– Of course it is striking that it is a shoot like this in the middle of the day, says Jimmy Modin.
The police will now work on a technical investigation and speak to any witnesses at the scene.
