A single vehicle accident with a truck has occurred on the E6 between Hjärnarp and Ängelholm. The accident site is cordoned off and the truck driver has been taken to hospital.
The truck has overturned at the Rebbelberga crossing.
The alarm went off at 2.30pm. The truck was carrying ammonia and when the rescue service arrived, the area around the crash site was cordoned off.
– We plan how we will be able to save the truck safely. It will take a few more hours, says Johan Hedin, internal commander of the Northwest rescue service at 5:20 p.m.
The road is blocked south from the Östra Karup junction.
– The rescue service wants to empty completely before starting the rescue work. It is not yet clear whether the truck has an ammonia leak or not, says Evelina Olsson, a press release at the police command center.
There is currently no forecast for when the road can be reopened. The truck driver was taken to the hospital, according to the rescue service, the person was slightly injured.
The police do not suspect any crime in connection with the accident.
