It is clear that China is alert to counteract the slightest trend for the spread of the coronavirus to accelerate again. This weekend, a trend was broken that lasted more than two months without the infection spreading nationwide.

The response follows the same pattern that China has shown since the country appears to have taken control of the virus. The smallest cluster outbreak is resolved by massive testing. For example, the 11 million people in Wuhan, the city where the virus broke out, were tested over a 10-day period in May after a group broke out there. Similarly, the massive testing began when an outbreak was recorded in a Beijing market in June.
The eruption at Qindao It comes right after China’s “golden week”, when the Chinese had eight days off and more than 500 million Chinese were on the move. Qingdao, which has popular beaches and is home to large companies such as the Tsingtao Brewery, was visited by 4.47 million people during the holidays, according to the city’s tourism office.
Now the massive tests, estimated to be completed in five days, are progressing at a rapid pace. According to the state newspaper Global Times, 114,862 people have already been tested, including all hospital staff. All with negative responses.
