Janne Andersson received criticism after failing to remove Dejan Kulusevski in the starting eleven against France.

Against Croatia, however, the Juventus player has the opportunity.

– I don’t think Janne Andersson was ready to wage the war she would have led if she hadn’t brought him out, says C More expert Kim Källström.

Dejan Kulusevski broke through last season in Italy, but in the Swedish national team it has not been so evident.

When the midfielder, who took a place in Juventus’ star team, didn’t get a chance in the first Nations League game against France, it generated a lot of debate.

“Choice both sports and media”

Against Croatia, however, Kulusevski has a chance in the starting eleven even though Viktor Claesson is back in the squad.

– It wasn’t obvious. Weigh all the factors you have and somewhere you land on something that feels sensible. It could have done it differently and it could have made sense too, Janne Andersson tells C More.

C More expert Kim Källström believes the captain of the national team is affected by outside pressure.

– He needs the qualities of Kulusevski on the field of play, but I don’t think he would be prepared to wage the war that he would have led if he had not taken him out. For me, it is both sporty and medially the right choice. I think it should play for its quality, but there is a bit more depth to this, he says.
