In a frontal collision this morning at 0730, a woman in her 45s was killed near Häggeby in Håbo municipality. It was later announced that a man in his 20s had also died in the collision.

The woman was driving a horse transport on Highway 263. There, her horse transport collided with an automobile.
– One of the vehicles passed on the wrong side of the road, but this is something we have to investigate, says Daniel Wikdahl, Police Region Mitt press spokesman in Expressen.
The deceased woman is a resident of Håbo municipality.
The woman’s daughter, in her 20s, was a passenger in the horse-drawn carriage and was taken to the hospital by helicopter ambulance. According to the information, his injuries are not life-threatening.
Shortly after lunchtime, police announced that the man in his 20s who was driving the car had also died.
The case is classified as a serious cause of the death of another person. According to the information, the car must have been seen being driven at a very high speed just before the collision.
The transport horse did well. After a vet looked at it, the horse was taken to a nearby stable.
During the rescue operation, there has been a total stop in traffic.
– Periodically we have been able to open the lanes. Both vehicles will be salvaged and impounded for a technical examination, says Daniel Wikdahl.
