A man in his 30s was attacked at midnight in Gårö, Gnosjö.
– We found him inside a house. He had injuries and a sharp object and was bleeding profusely from his head, says Thomas Agnevik, a press spokesman for the Eastern Police Region.
The man was taken to hospital and is being treated for serious injuries. Police cordoned off the home and an outdoor area around the property.
– We do not know if he was injured inside or outside the home. We have technicians on site now investigating it, says Thomas Agnevik.
The police still have no suspects or arrests.
– Initially, it appears that there is no connection between the plaintiff and the perpetrator or perpetrators. We don’t know if it’s one or more, he says.
The police classify the incident as an attempted murder and are very eager to contact witnesses.
– We think there should be people moving around the area at midnight. If anyone has seen or knows something about the incident, it is incredibly important for us to get in touch with that person, he says.
