They are suspects in the murder of Flamur, 36, in London

The arrest of the three men came on Thursday after authorities in London sent a request to Swedish prosecutors for them to be arrested and extradited as suspects for their role in the murder of Flamur Beqiri.

The request took the form of the so-called European arrest warrant.
On Thursday morning, the police raided an address in Växjö, an address on the outskirts of Stockholm and an address in Spånga.

Two have abused drugs

The three men had not previously been suspected of serious violent crimes. But two of them, one 31 and one 33, are well known to the police for, among other things, drug-related crimes. Both have long abused drugs and have been convicted several times of drug-related offenses.

The 31-year-old was arrested on Friday.

– My client firmly denies that he was guilty of what is suspected. But he wants this to be out of the world and has agreed to be handed over to England, says lawyer Björn Sandin.

The 33-year-old hails from Växjö but settled in Malmö for a few years after being badly stabbed. Now he lives in Växjö again. The 33-year-old was also arrested on Friday.

The 22-year-old has not previously been convicted of a crime. He was detained on Friday afternoon by the Solna District Court pending the court’s decision on the matter of his transfer.

Suspicions are secret

District Attorney Anna Edebalk does not want to comment and exactly what makes the three men suspicious is classified at the request of London police.

A spokesperson for the London Metropolitan Police told Kvällposten:
– We understand that the three who were arrested must appear in court today for their deportation. The removal process takes as long as the Swedish process, and it is not something we have control over. As soon as they arrive here, they will be officially charged immediately and go to court the next day.

A 23-year-old man is already suspected of murdering Flamur Beiqiri. He lives in Malmö and was arrested in January this year when he landed at Kastrup airport. He had traveled to Thailand shortly after the murder.

The 23-year-old denies shooting Flamur Beqiri, but the evidence against him must be significant. In the area where Beqiri lived with his family in a house valued at approximately SEK 18 million, there are several surveillance cameras.

Bloody gang conflict the cause

Flamur Beqiri knew the murdered doctor Karolin Hakim and her husband. She was shot dead with her two-month-old baby in her arms in front of her home in Ribersborg in Malmö in August last year. The shooting men stayed outside the couple’s home and waited. They fired several shots at his partner but he escaped.

Swedish police suspect that the murder of Flamur Beqiri is the result of a bloody conflict between the leaders of two criminal networks in Malmö. According to Kvällposten sources, both networks have made millions by smuggling mostly cannabis from Spain to Sweden.

A leader of one of the gangs has been detained in Spain for several months on suspicion of at least two murders and explosions.
The other police-appointed leader has been detained in Sweden for about a month on suspicion of preparing for a murder in Ängelholm.
