Denmark introduces new travel restrictions to eight Swedish counties

The areas that the Danish Foreign Ministry advises against are counties where the number of new corona infections exceeds 30 per 100,000 inhabitants.

Sweden as a country surpassed that limit last week, with 32.4 new infections out of 100,000. But Denmark has chosen to examine infection rates by county and only excludes the worst affected.

Danes who are already staying in designated areas can stay until their case is over, it is said.

In addition to the eight Swedish counties, Denmark also today advises against traveling to San Marino.

Only Danes are discouraged from traveling, this is not a ban. It is also not illegal not to follow the recommendations.

On the other hand, people who have been in one of the blacklisted areas are encouraged to spend 14 days in so-called self-isolation when they return to Denmark.

At the moment, Danes are discouraged from traveling to practically the whole world except Poland, Italy, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Norway and Germany.
