Panic changes time after Aftonbladet questions

Culture Minister Amanda Lind called a press conference at 1:00 p.m. today.

The problem?

This is exactly at the same time that the Nobel Prize for Literature is announced.

In the morning, the government press release arrived:

“At 1 pm, Culture Minister Amanda Lind, Social Affairs Minister Lena Hallengren and the Director General of the Swedish Public Health Agency, Johan Karlsson, will hold a press conference.”

But this is exactly at the same time that the Nobel Week reaches the prize for literature, which will be announced at 1 pm.

After Aftonbladet asked Culture Minister’s press secretary Josefin Sasse questions about the time crash, we get the answer via text message:

“A quarter will be brought forward at 1:15 pm.”

When was this decided?

“Right now,” replies the press secretary.
