Eddie Van Halen died of cancer at the age of 65.

Now widow Janie Liszewski talks about grief.

“My heart and soul have been broken into millions of pieces,” he writes on Instagram.

It was Tuesday that the rock star and guitarist Edward “Eddie” Van Halen died after a long battle with cancer.

The star was married to Janie Liszewski, 50, for eleven years, since 2009.

“Incredible pain”

In an Instagram post dedicated to her husband, she now writes about grief and her broken heart.

I did not know that it was possible to cry so many tears or feel such incredible sadness. Our journey together has not always been easy, but in the end and we always have a bond and a love that will always last. Saying goodbye is the most difficult thing I have had to do in my life, so I say goodbye instead, I will see you soon in a place without pain or sadness, “she wrote in the post.

Janie Liszewski also asks you to take care of her and her dog Kody.
