Both Alexander Holtz at Djurgården and Lucas Raymond at Frölunda have featured prominently in the 2020 NHL draft. There was a long talk about the top ten and when it was all over, this was accomplished.
Raymond was number four against the Detroit Red Wings and Alexander Holtz as number seven against the New Jersey Devils.
When SVT Sport comes to Holtz, he first tells what the feeling has been like here the last time before the draft.
– I’ve been very expectant. Especially in the past week, of course you’ve been nervous when you’ve really gotten close. As it turned out, I am extremely grateful and extremely proud.
How he feels now? You go number seven overall to the New Jersey Devils …
– It’s a dream come true to go so early in a first round. I come to a big honest club in New Jersey so I’m very proud of myself. But this is only the beginning, I am very marked by what is to come, Holtz tells SVT Sport.
“I just saw it on Instagram and Twitter”
Holtz will now move on to the NHL, where he will meet many stars. The greatest of the team from which he has now been drafted, the New Jersey Devils, may still be the rocker, PK Subban. A player Holtz is looking forward to meeting.
– It’ll be great whatever happens. I’ve only seen it on Instagram and Twitter. He seems to be a lovely and funny person, so he should be incredibly funny.
Finally then. Can you sleep now?
– Hahaha, I don’t know. I will try to sleep if possible. It has been a fantastic evening.
