A 16-year-old suspected shooter has been arrested for the assassination attempt in Järfälla.

It is said that he was hired by three men to carry out the shooting.

They must have planned the act in detail in encrypted chats.

The course of events during the shooting in Järfälla on May 19 this year is described as brutal and ruthless.

A young man was at a bus stop when a person armed with a gun arrived at the scene on an electric scooter, according to information from Aftonbladet.

Suddenly, the assailant fired several shots at the victim. He was hit by bullets in the stomach and legs, but managed to escape and started running into a forest.

Dropped the gun

The shooter is said to have run and chased the man, who eventually fell.

The aggressor then had to approach the victim to execute him, according to the same information.

But when the perpetrator was about to fire the fatal shot, the ammunition ran out.

– He survived because he ran out of bullets, says a source.

The shooter then fled the scene and in connection with that dropped the weapon in the woods, according to information from Aftonbladet.

Arrested in “Operation Robinson”

The police advance in the investigation came after the international operation “Operation Robinson”.

The French authorities then managed to crack the encrypted mobile service EncroChat, where it was possible to communicate without being intercepted.

Later, the Swedish police were able to see the material. Linked to this, three men could be arrested in the early hours of late September, suspected of being involved in the assassination attempt.

They are two 27-year-old young men and a 31-year-old man.

The other two were arrested for complicity and complicity.

But at the same time, the police search for a 16-year-old boy continues. It is suspected that he acted as a torpedo and was the one who fired the shots. He was also wanted for escaping from a youth home.

According to information from Aftonbladet, the task force must have attacked addresses with which the teenager has connections on several occasions over a couple of weeks.

On Tuesday of last week, the police managed to arrest him in northern Sweden.

– Police have already pointed out before that we see older offenders using young people to commit crimes. Even in this case, the investigation indicates that this is exactly what happened, says Jacob van Rooij, a police investigation leader.

“I planned the event for a month”

The 16-year-old was arrested Thursday on probable cause, the highest degree of suspicion.

– He is suspected of preparation for murder, attempted murder and felony with firearms, says prosecutor Jenny Clemedtson of the National Unit against International and Organized Crime.

A total of four detainees are suspected of having planned the act for about a month.

According to information from Aftonbladet, the evidence against all of them is rated very good.

The police must secure hacked chats. There, it should be clear and in detail how they planned together to carry out the shooting, sources tell Aftonbladet.

– There is a clear text on how they should proceed, says a source.

The prosecutor does not want to comment on any information from Aftonbladet.

– It’s a delicate situation so I really don’t want to get away with anything right now, says Jenny Clemedtson.
