Pontus Aspgren has raced for reigning Swedish champion Smederna for the past three seasons, when the club took home the same number of golds. He was signed by Smederna this season as well, but when the Eskilstuna team withdrew from the elite series because the association didn’t want to race without an audience, it became a club change for Aspgren.

– I think we have the best team on paper and strong guys. With the uniformity we have, I think we should beat the Masars in two games. But the Masars are incredibly good in Avesta, says Pontus Aspgren, who lives in the city.

– I haven’t been a bother in seven years. But the fans know who I am. It will be a bit special to run a Swedish Championship final in your hometown and not represent the team there. But it will be a lot of fun to drive, he says.
