Three people have been brought in for questioning after the alleged assassination attempt at Järntorget in central Gothenburg at 5 p.m. Monday, according to police.
– We have a lot of witness information and more material that we can work on. We have information on the injured person, who it may be, but it has not been determined, and there is also information to process on who the suspect may be, says police spokesman Stefan Gustafsson.
Several witnesses claim that the alleged knife cut must have started with a verbal dispute. Subsequently, a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds and a lone assailant left the scene.
No one has been arrested.
– There is information pointing in a certain direction. It’s not the case that we can tell exactly who the person is, but he’s making progress, Gustafsson says.
