Stockholm University, which is the largest organizer of tests, recorded 43 percent at an age when high school is not normally completed, writes SvD.
Four out of ten who signed up for this fall’s college exam at the country’s three biggest exam organizers are still in high school and therefore unable to apply for college this spring, Svenska Dagbladet reports.
The places for the university entrance exam on October 25 have been limited to be able to do it in a contagious-proof way. In about half of the organizers of the test, the maximum limit was reached, but it is unclear how many were denied the opportunity to participate, the newspaper writes.
– They had the right to apply and they have, even if that was not really the intention. That is not why the test was conducted in these somewhat extraordinary circumstances, national coordinator Peter Honeth tells SvD.
Honeth tells the newspaper that there probably won’t be a cap on the number of applicants during college exams this spring.
