Donald Trump has been treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for covid-19 since last Friday, but on Monday he tweeted that he is ready to go home.

Shortly after the tweet, the president’s medical team held a press conference confirming that Trump will be allowed to leave the hospital Monday night local time.

Doctors stated that she has already received three doses of remdesivir and that she should receive a fourth before going home and then another two doses that she should take at home. Trump’s personal physician, Sean Conley, told reporters that the president has not had a fever in 72 hours and that his breathing is normal.

– We fully support the removal of the president. You will be surrounded by world-class medical personnel throughout the day when you return home.

I received oxygen treatment

During question time, Conley also stated that Trump’s oxygen levels dropped twice, after which he received oxygen treatment.

– He received some oxygen and recovered immediately.

Conley was also asked if there is a risk that Secret Service agents who traveled with Trump during the criticized car trip the president embarked on this weekend are infected.

– He (Trump, editor’s note) wears full protective gear and yesterday Secret Service agents were wearing full protective gear.

Conley described Trump as a “phenomenal patient” and that he has worked well with the medical team.

Trump himself has always claimed that he is fine under the circumstances and that he suffered only mild symptoms. In his Monday night tweet, he writes that not only does he feel good, but he even feels “better than 20 years ago.”
