The foreign ministers of Israel and the United Arab Emirates will meet in Germany on Tuesday to discuss further steps in normalizing relations between the two countries.
“It is a great honor that the Israeli and Emirati Foreign Ministers have chosen Berlin as the location for their first historic meeting,” German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said in a statement.
“We are doing our best to be a good host for the dialogue between the two countries on how to shape their future bilateral relations,” he continues.
Gabi Ashkenazi and Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahayan aim to build and follow up on the agreement signed at the White House in Washington in September.
The agreement is part of the controversial peace plan launched by US President Donald Trump for the Middle East.
Bahrain has also signed the agreement.
