A man is suspected of a crime after he filmed a serious car accident and posted it on Snapchat. Stock Photography.
A man in his 30s is suspected of illegal invasion of privacy after he filmed at an accident site on the outskirts of Enköping and posted the material on the social media platform Snapchat, local media reported.
The accident happened on the E18 west of Enköping last Saturday, when a car with two men went off the road at very high speed. One of the men died and the other was seriously injured.
The now-suspect man stopped at the scene of the accident and filmed the car while the driver and passenger were still in it. When the police arrived at the scene, he was arrested and his mobile phone was confiscated.
– It is forbidden to stop on the highway unless it is to help in an accident. It is not allowed to film and publish people, injured or dead. The man who filmed is now suspected of illegal invasion of privacy, the mobile phone was seized, says Jonas Rickeborn in Enköpings-Posten police.
