Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine announced.
The Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine is only awarded when the 2020 prizes are to be awarded. At 11:30 on Monday the winner of the prize will be announced.

Every year 50 professors from the Nobel Assembly of the Karolinska Institutet decide on one or more researchers who can receive the Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine.
On Monday in the morning The Nobel Assembly announced on Twitter that a winner had been selected.
The recipient of the award will receive ten million Swedish crowns.
So far, the award has been awarded 110 different times and to 219 people between 1901 and 2019. Twelve women have received the award.
The youngest category winner of all time is Frederick G Banting, who was 32 when he was rewarded in 1923 for the discovery of insulin. Peyton Rous is the oldest to receive the award. The American was 87 when he received the award in 1966 for discovering the connection between viruses and cancer more than 50 years earlier.
