Bohman’s five points from Hammarby-Djurgården at Tele2 Arena.
✓ 1. Not just a bitter and quarrelsome man
Sometimes Kim Bergstrand is a bit unfairly reduced to a rowdy old man. He may blame himself to some degree for his confrontational style, but that also obscures another, more interesting character trait.
He is always honest.
When Sportbladet before the derby asked the coach about Djurgården’s problems, he was true to his custom, neither fleeting nor evasive.
– We must have a much better goalkeeping game. The opponents score a lot of goals in the few shots and posts we have against us. We let in very simple goals.

2. Djurgården failed to intimidate …
Rejected without a hearing?
Not in the first half. Djurgården was puffed up meaty – ugly! – in the ambition to stifle Hammarby’s game in its infancy. Magnus Eriksson was a tormentor for Bajen’s game dealer with his eternally fierce aggression and Fredrik Ulvestad grabbed Muamer Tankovic for life and threw him into midfield.
– This is the third time! Yellow card forward, the talkative David Ousted yelled at judge Kristoffer Karlsson.
In general, he was extremely complaining of both teams on the field.
The game was completely even, but Djurgården never managed to intimidate Hammarby into submission.
3. … Hammarby to submission
Hammarby wasn’t dazzling, he didn’t own most of the ball, but he was pretty cool once he got it. Darijan Bojanic resolved many difficult situations and Muamer Tankovic used his superior skill as Separatist king. He can conjure up appetizing surfaces out of nowhere even though he seems claustrophobically surrounded.
The first goal came after Hammarby lined up four good deeds in a row. The increasingly alert Aron Johannsson sucked hard on a ball and handed it to Abdul Khalili. His stumbling steps and smooth cross section to Kacaniklic show what high level Khalili should reach most often. Kacaniklic flew forward very well and the shot was strong enough that Tommi Vaiho was forced to find his way back directly to Tankovic, who easily sent it 1-0.
A beautiful attack.
4. Blytunga lesions, Lower
Mohanad Jeahze, Muamer Tankovic and Simon Sandberg. All were replaced injured by Djurgården. It’s a huge advantage for a Bajen who has struggled with that kind of problem all season.
Sandberg was on the verge of becoming one of the all-time best defenders in the series, but constant injuries and illnesses risk completely destroying his potential for development. Jeahze has really contributed to the quality of the left, his performances at both Hammarby and Mjällby have been sensational, so it felt tragic that one of this year’s big exclamation points was also broken.
And so poor Tankovic, who never really found continuity in 2020, was replaced at halftime. Just a precaution?
5. A derby with two losers
Overall, we were treated to an exciting and open match, although not very well played. Hammarby clearly looked better early in the second half despite Muamer Tankovic being forced to resign. Then Djurgården went back to eating with his frenetic and repetitive post play.
In the end, Hammarby fell into the kind of low, passive defensive position that was never suitable for this team.
The problem for Djurgården?
The offense was too weak. Of course, Djurgården reached that characteristic the pressure in periods. But the pressure that last year felt massive and powerful was no longer meager, forceful and unleashed.
But at least they didn’t give up. The posts continued to be released despite Bajen getting away with most of the things. It didn’t even help that Emir Kujovic parked in the offensive penalty area for the entire half. Balones never looked for him and is as much in the center as his teammates. Djurgården had 30 difficult situations in the offensive penalty area, 28 of which felt completely harmless. Then Jesper Nyholm appeared out of nowhere and stomped the tie in injury time.
It just goes to say that this was a derby with two losers. A cross was equally harmless for both teams in the search for European venues.
