The first Clásico on the female side has been played.

Kosovar Asllani scored a goal and Sofia Jakobsson started on the bench.

No success for the Swedes when Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 4-0.

El Clásico, the meeting between the great Spanish teams Barcelona and Real Madrid, has long been noticed on the men’s side. Today, the teams met for the first time on the women’s side, after Real Madrid took over the CD Tacón women’s team this summer. It is the first time that the club has a women’s team, since it was founded 118 years ago.

The two Kosovar Swedish teams Asllani and Sofia Jakobsson were on the Real Madrid squad, but only “Kosse” was in the starting eleven.

Doomed goal for Asllani

Asllani put the ball into goal for his Real Madrid. But the case was dismissed. The referee blew a free kick to Barcelona, after Asllani fouled the goalkeeper, seconds before the goal. The Swede had time to start celebrating, which could have been 1-1, before the referee blew in and instead they became bitter faces on the Madrid side.

It was the only time the ball entered the net from behind the Barcelona goalkeeper. The final result was 4-0 and, therefore, it is Barcelona who achieved the historic first victory in El Clásico.

Jakobsson was substituted with 20 minutes remaining, but sadly that was not enough for Real Madrid to turn the game around.
