Ashkan Ekman Ekhtiari, 43, murdered his wife in Sollefteå in January by shooting her in the head while she was sleeping, something the district court took very seriously and therefore sentenced him to life imprisonment and deportation.
He appealed the verdict to the Court of Appeal with the help of his defense attorney Thomas Bodström. The verdict came on Friday and there was no relief from the sentence or the expulsion sentence.

The Lower Norrland Court of Appeal fully agrees with the district court’s ruling against Ekhtiari for the murder of the relationship.
The couple was about to get divorced and he had accessed his mobile phone to copy applications and information.
Ekhtiari himself went to the police and confessed after shooting his wife.
Ashkan Ekman Ekhtiari came to Sweden in 2007 and trained as a computer engineer. He has worked in the Kiruna Department of Space Physics, but has also held positions of trust for the Social Democrats in Kiruna. Among other things, he has been a member of the municipal council.
