This week, DN was able to report that Kry’s establishment of health centers in Stockholm shook primary care. This is because Krys’s increase in the number of patients (10,000 patients in a month) is unmatched. Patients are unaware that they have been listed, that is, they have chosen to belong to the specific health center, and health centers that have lost patients warn of an imminent threat of closure.
Social Affairs Minister Lena Hallengren (S) says she followed DN’s reports and stories shared on social media.
– When I read it, I was pissed off. I also wonder how the moderate government in Stockholm thinks when it has no preparation and regulations for this situation. It’s really outrageous that patients got rid of their regular doctor, what we wanted to achieve, security and continuity. There is nothing wrong with not being better equipped.
That’s a flaw regulations that have made it possible, according to Hallengren.
– Make sure that the rules regarding the establishment, listing, change of doctor and care provider are very clear. As a patient, you shouldn’t be surprised. The listings must be done in the correct way and I think there are many indications that this has not happened in this case.
Kry’s request to open health centers in Stockholm was approved by the contract committee in early May. The Left Party did not participate in the decision. The Social Democrats voted in favor.
The Social Democrats also voted for the establishment of Krys and the only thing that stood out then was that they needed to ensure that they would not request compensation outside the county. How do you look at it?
– Ensure that the entire country has the opportunity for both physical and digital attention, that is an opinion that we have and that I hope we widely agree. But the regulations around this, I don’t think the responsibility can be attributed to anyone other than the moderate government in Stockholm.
The first thing Stockholmers knew about opening the Kry app is an offer to re-register with Kry, which you need to click before you can get help on the app. Those who just wanted to refill their prescriptions have gotten the message that they must now register with Kry to use the service. Although this is against the Law of the Patient.
– It should not be the case that you as a patient feel offended or have the slightest suspicion that you have actors or companies in primary care to earn money. It is very important for the credibility of primary care.
District Medical Association you want a digital health center shift to be possible only on a neutral platform, like 1177, and not on the care providers’ own apps. And that it must be clear to the patient that a reinstatement means that the patient loses contact with their old health center.
– What applications and platforms, I leave it to administrators and health care. But the regulations regarding the establishment, listing, change of doctor and provider of care must be very clear, says Lena Hallengren.
What do you think of how Kry has acted?
– The voices of patients who say they did not know they were reinstated, and now they find themselves in a situation where they cannot list with the doctor they may have been with for many years, because those patients have not been right.
