Donald Trump’s staff knew his colleague had COVID-19 when he went to a campaign rally in New Jersey on Thursday, CNN reports.
This has come under fire, including from CNN host Anderson Cooper.
“The fact that the president went there even though he knew he had had close contact with someone who had tested positive is irresponsible,” he told the channel.
Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump have tested positive for the crown, Trump himself announced Friday morning.
In the United States, people in several states are advised to wear mouth guards.
