– It seems that it is politics that decides when we should have our negotiations. It’s a bit irritating for me. We negotiate when we want to negotiate and whenever we want to negotiate, says Mattias Dahl, Deputy General Manager.
It highlights that the parties have negotiated labor laws from time to time since 2017.
– It is not the time factor that has reduced it, it is the substance of the matter. It’s important to remember, says Mattias Dahl and believes that if it had been a matter of details, the parties would have resolved it.
According to Mattias Dahl no new negotiations are planned.
– The deadline was yesterday and the negotiation ended.
– Then we do not work with the closing of doors so I cannot say what will happen tomorrow. It’s the content that decides, says Mattias Dahl.
LO is on the same path as the Confederation of Swedish Companies.
– We never close the door to negotiations. But the negotiations ended just a few hours ago. If new opportunities for negotiation open up, then we will take a position on this. The problem was not the lack of time, the problem was that the LAS investigation was like a wet blanket on the negotiation, says the president of LO, Susanna Gideonsson.
