19-year-old cycling talent Quinn Simmons is suspended from all competition for the indefinite future by his stable Team Trek.

This after the American expressed his support for US President Donald Trump before the presidential elections in November.

Cycling journalist Jose Been posted a tweet urging all Trump supporters to stop following him. Simmons then responded by typing “bye”, followed by emoji with a black skin tone.

“Harmful to the stable”

“Stable rider Quinn Simmons has made statements that we believe are divisive, inciting and damaging to stable professional cycling, its fans, and the positive future we want to build for the sport,” the American Riding Stable wrote in a statement.

“As a result, he will not compete for Trek-Segafredo until a new decision is made.”

Simmons became the 2019 junior world champion in line racing.
