As we wrote above, the Stadsholmen Municipal Estate Agency has renovated Kristineberg Castle’s 254-square-meter parade floor, a total of eight rooms plus a dining room, kitchen and two bathrooms.
Unique 17th-century apartment will have new tenants
– We built new bathrooms and a new kitchen, changed the electricity and checked all the surfaces. The beautiful paintings on the door covers and much of the walls, as well as the wooden and stone floors, have been restored. We have also renovated and preserved an old sink and measured it in the new kitchen interior, says real estate engineer Pelle Byström in a press release.
Now the unique property has also established itself in the housing queue at Bostadsförmedlingen in Stockholm, something that Hem & Hyra was the first to notice. This is the first time the floor has been placed in the housing queue
The monthly rent? 40,930 SEK.
The flat was laid out on Monday and by Tuesday morning around 200 had registered interest according to Hem & Hyra. At the time of writing, you have had the longest lead time since August 1991. But it is important to be quick. The registration period expires on October 1, but because the object is so special, the owner, according to Stadsholmen, has made an exception to the normal registration period of approximately two days.
In addition to the space requirements in the housing queue, Stadsholmen also requires that the income of the intended tenant “must be proportional to the rental level of the apartment in question.” But Stadsholmen will also have some other requirements and rules for those who rent the flat, among other things, paintings or the like cannot be nailed to most of the walls.
For those who are curious to see the apartment, without renting, there is a digital opportunity. Due to the corona pandemic, objects from Bostadsförmedlingen are displayed virtually, here you can see the house.
The move is scheduled for December 1.
