Docu-soap star’s DNA was found in a stolen military vehicle

A national alarm was sounded in February after two Galten-type military vehicles, valued at one million crowns each, were stolen from the Armed Forces command regiment in Enköping. In the days that followed, they were found on the outskirts of Västerås and Sala, one parked in a residential area and the other dumped on the ground.

Two men in their 30s were arrested and detained for the robbery, but were released after a couple of weeks. Thereafter, the investigation grew to eight suspects.

On Monday, Lena Jansson brought charges against the group, which includes a reality TV celebrity and is suspected of gross illegal use, meaning that she must have gone with one of the stolen wild boars.

– At first we thought he had a bigger role in the robbery itself, and since he was in the middle of a television production, it became difficult to get an interrogation without being revealed as a suspect, says Lena Jansson.

Special investigation

The prosecutor’s evidence file contains, in addition to DNA analysis, phone lists and a Snapchat photo of one of the vehicles.

What should be the motive for the theft?

– We haven’t heard. No one admits that the vehicles were stolen for resale, but in one case we believe that has happened. That one of the vehicles was sold.

All but one in the group, one of the robbery suspects, deny the crime. None of them should be related to the Armed Forces.

– It is especially when there are so many involved and it is the secret of the defense. Be careful not to step on your left foot, says Lena Jansson.
