Finland reintroduces entry restrictions for Swedes and travelers from other countries, reports Swedish Yle. The reason is that the limit value of 25 new corona cases per 100,000 inhabitants has been exceeded in the last 14 days.

It has been just over a week since the restrictions were lifted for Sweden and Estonia, among others.

– I am very happy that normal interaction with Sweden can begin, then-Minister for Transport and Communications Timo Harakka told the Helsingin Sanomat newspaper.

So now there is another sound in the crust. From now on, Swedes must present acceptable reasons for entry and, if applicable, are asked to be quarantined for two weeks. However, business travel without quarantine and daily traffic are allowed in northern areas where Finland has a land border with Sweden.

In addition to Sweden, the new entry restrictions apply to Estonia, Germany, Norway, Iceland and Slovakia. Residents of certain non-EU / EEA countries are also affected.
