Amy Coney Barrett, 48, is Donald Trump’s choice to fill the vacant seat on the Supreme Court.

At a ceremony in the White House rose garden, he was introduced to the American people.

Now the president hopes the conservative judge will help him secure re-election.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Swedish time, President Trump confirmed the speculation. It will be Amy Coney Barrett, 48, who is her choice to fill the spot after the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

She featured Judge Barrett, who was surrounded by her husband and seven children, at a ceremony in the White House rose garden.

He was his third nominee for Supreme Court justice during his tenure.

“It is an honor to nominate one of our nation’s most brilliant and talented legal thinkers to the Supreme Court today,” Trump said.

– She is fully qualified for the job. You will be amazing.

Call the Democrats

He reviewed Barrett’s credentials and also mentioned that he had adopted two children from Haiti.

“She will be historic, if passed, as the first Supreme Court judge to be a mother of school-age children,” Trump said.

He urged Democrats to allow the nomination process to be respected and not allow the political views of the parties to prevail. Many prominent Democrats have reacted angrily to the fact that Donald Trump pitched a candidate so hastily to gain approval before the election in early November.

Can be triumphant

According to information to Axios, the Senate will begin the nomination hearings on October 12 and will last for four days.

– You will make our country proud, he concluded before handing over the podium to Barrett.

– I love the United States and the Constitution. I am honored by the opportunity to serve on the Supreme Court, says Amy Coney Barrett.

Many observers see two hopes for the president with Barrett’s swift election. The Catholic mother of seven, with strong views against abortion, is seen as a trump card to boost Trump’s election campaign, especially among her religious and conservative base.

If the election result ends up in court, it can end up in HD. So it is important that Republicans have all nine members in place. With Barrett, the Republicans have a 6-3 advantage on the bench.

Praise the dead judge

He also praised the late HD judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg for being a woman who broke glass ceilings and gave women a platform in places where they weren’t welcome before.

Most of the talk, however, was about the family, husband Jessie and the seven children, which was not surprising since much of the analysis before the decision was about Trump wanting to secure his already strong support among the evangelical movement. In the strongly believing and socially conservative group, issues relating to the nuclear family are central.

– I’m used to staying in a group of nine, she says in reference to the nine justices that make up the Supreme Court.

She spoke a lot about her husband, who had to take a lot of responsibility for the family and children during his career as a judge.

– Every day for 21 years he has asked me what he can do for me that day, she says.

He concluded by addressing members of the Senate, where his nomination will be considered, and said he looks forward to meeting them and hopes it is worthy of your support.

As it stands now, Republicans will win a majority of members of the Senate to win Barrett’s approval.
