On Saturday night, the police received several calls about a shooting in a parking lot in the center of Hjällbo. Several witnesses are said to have seen several people shoot at one person and then immediately left the scene in a car.
– The place is cordoned off and there are quite a few people in the place, says Andreas Odén.
As far as the police know at this time, no one should have been injured and a technical investigation will begin at the scene.
Dog and helicopter on site
– We also contacted the person who was exposed, a man in his 50s. The man and witnesses will be questioned about the circumstances, says Odén.
A great effort is being made with intervention units, a dog and a helicopter.
– No one has been arrested in the case and we are beginning to move towards a more investigative phase, says Odén. According to him, the incident is classified as an assassination attempt.
So far, several empty holsters and cartridges have been found at the site. During the night the technical investigation at the crime scene will continue and the police will remain in the area.
It is not yet clear if the man has any connection to the alleged perpetrators.
-We are investigating the matter at the moment, says Odén.
At 8.15 pm, the Police continue working with the investigation of the crime scene as well as with the interrogations and knocking on the door in the area.
