Indra may have sung in a shaky way, but he had potential and freshness.

Aftonbladet’s Natasha Azarmi over Indra Elg and Friday’s first final on Idol.
It took a pandemic for “Idol” to start thinking creatively.
Tonight’s “historic” final on Friday showed which of this year’s contestants can deliver when it arrives.
On Friday, Aftonbladet revealed that several of this year’s “Idol” contestants have been infected with corona. Four pieces, it would turn out later.
No one who has seen the show this year can be surprised. With all the hugs exchanged to the right and left, “distance” has barely been the watchword on TV4. There appear to have been no restrictions between participants by the channel.
One wonders how it is possible to explode so completely when broadcasting the largest artist contest in the country. But we must not get hooked.
School class in zoom
One positive factor is that the circumstances that made “Idol” have to be rethought. After the same program and design for almost 17 years, the final on Friday night was what Pär Lernström called “TV history”.
Participants interpreted their numbers from the hotel room and were able to speak to the study through a link. Yes, sometimes it all seemed a little ridiculous. Contestants remembered a class from school on Zoom, and the lesson had it all: poor connectivity, embarrassing silences, and poor communication.
Therefore, it is quite reasonable that the participants have been allowed to record their performances in advance. And it worked surprisingly well with the instruments of the studio band.
Indeed, tonight’s opening Friday finale must be the most stable in several years, rarely have contestants sung so well this early in the competition. Of course they had an advantage. In many ways, it is easier to sing alone in your hotel room than in front of an audience.
But at the same time: the fact that the contestants needed to replace the studio with the hotel room in such a short time showed who can adapt and perform even in the strangest situations.
The strongest, even though they were sick
Simon Karlsson, Paulina Pancencov Y Nova Luther impressed all three with excitement and energy.
But I was still Nadja holm Y Caspar camitz which made the strongest impression tonight, even though they were both ill. Caspar came out of the box with a poignant and accurate version of Harry Styles “Watermelon sugar” and was called by our time Jamiroquai of Anders Bagge.
Nadja sang Beyonce “Freedom” and filled the studio with the brilliance and attitude of a rarely seen star, without even being in place. “Are we in the final yet?” He wondered. Alexander Kronlund.
The biggest mistake was actually with the viewers. Indra Elg he sang perhaps with a sway, but that his potential and coldness disappeared before Niklas Hultbergs The ugly and fake song already feels like a mistake.
