Even more “Idol” contestants have been infected with corona according to information from Aftonbladet.
Last night, the production held a crisis meeting with competitors, and TV4 is now forced to redo the entire broadcast.

According to information from Aftonbladet, at least three additional “Idol” contestants must have been infected with corona after the contestant Caspar camitzThe 25-year-old became ill and tested positive Tuesday.
As Aftonbladet was able to report Thursday night, all participants were tested for Covid-19 during the week. Yesterday, half of the participants had had time to get their results, but it was not until late at night that the other participants received information that several had been infected.

I got information at the crisis meeting last night
The participants had then been forced to lock themselves in their hotel rooms for no other justification than to risk killing someone if they turned out to have a crown and went out for fresh air. Only late on Thursday night were all participants summoned to a video crisis meeting with the responsible production staff. It wasn’t until then that they found out that other contestants had been infected with corona, people they had all been on stage with and hugged with during last week’s qualifying competitions and Friday’s qualifying final. Before the crisis meeting, production staff threatened to suspend competition participants if they did not stay in their rooms, a source with deep knowledge told Aftonbladet.

During the meeting with the “Idol” participants, TV4 reported that the evening show will be completely remade. Instead of the contestants performing their songs at the “Idol” studio in Spånga, much of the evening’s broadcast will be pre-recorded on Friday morning.
