– That is why it is important to register for the digital waiting room already at 07, says the national coordinator Peter Honeth.
After many tours, registration for the university entrance exam opens at 08 o’clock on Friday morning for a total of 120 exams in Sweden. Only people without a valid test result can register, and the College and University Council (UHR) hopes that those in this group who can wait to write will refrain.
– If you have a valid test result in the last eight years, you do not have the opportunity to write the test in this round, says Karin Andrén at UHR.
Registration is open from September 25 and runs until October 1, but UHR and Peter Honeth expect an attack already in the opening. Each organizer of the event has a limit and when the highest number is reached, the possibility of registration is closed.
The novelty of this year is, therefore, that a queuing system, or a digital waiting room, opens as of 07 hours.
– It is an important measure to be able to help with an extra good service. It’s usually used when booking concert tickets, for example, and can thus handle the attack we expect. I recommend that you go and register there between 07-08 to make sure you can participate in college exams this fall, he says.
When logging in In the digital waiting room, the system draws queue numbers for everyone to register in the digital waiting room, no matter when they entered, he explains. Once test participants are admitted, you are required to pay a registration fee of 450 SEK.
– Then the registration is complete. You can only pay by card this year, he says.
Peter Honeth recommends also that everyone register and open an account in UHR as soon as possible so that later the handling of the registrations is facilitated.
Once you have been locked in the waiting room, the places are in turn distributed among those registered: a total of 27,600 participants will be able to take the test this year for infection control reasons. Last fall, more than 50,000 people signed up, but there was also the opportunity to write in the spring.
– Our hope is that everyone who wants to can write the test this spring, even if there will only be one test chance instead of two. Everything indicates that there are many who want to write, but if you don’t need the test before the spring term, we recommend that you wait to write the test now, he says.
