700 missing exam answers in Skåne

About a hundred people who tested themselves for COVID-19 on September 15 have yet to receive a response.

700 test results have been lost and the region is investigating what went wrong, Region Skåne writes in a press release.

– We have ongoing contact with responsible third-party vendors investigating what went wrong, says Mattias Waldeck, assistant infection control physician for the region, in the press release.

A total of 60,000 people have been tested in the region since the feature was introduced in July. The number of people testing themselves has gradually increased and thus testing capacity has been strengthened. Now up to 17,500 tests can be analyzed each week.

However, of the people who underwent self-assessments on September 15, 700 responses are now missing. This means that your test results have not been received at 1177.se.

– Of course, individual samples may not be able to be analyzed or linked to anyone. Most of the time it is due to the human factor. But this event is unique and we are now discussing with our suppliers to make the process even safer, says Mattias Waldeck, assistant doctor for infection control in the Skåne Region, in the press release.

In general, the turnaround time for the test should be one to three days. If you have not received a test response within three days, you will be prompted to request a new test and contact support at 1177.se.
