According to the director general of the Swedish Public Health Agency, Johan Carlsson, there is currently an increase in the number of corona cases in Sweden.

– We have a small increase that we see widely in the country. In various age groups. Our assessment is that workplaces are a major source of infection spread. So we want to tell employers that it’s important for employees to be able to work from home, says Johan Carlsson.

A dialogue is under way between the Swedish Public Health Agency and regional infection control on possible local measures in case the situation worsens.

– If it continues to rise in the wrong direction, we are prepared to act, says Stefan Löfven.

“More and more congestion”

During the question time that followed, Stefan Löfven was asked if the Swedes had started to misbehave.

– Many probably still take care of themselves. But we are seeing more and more congestion in the streets and squares, house parties and other things. So there is a great risk of further spread of the infection, says Stefan Löfven.

Now new restrictions are being discussed to stop the covid-19.
