During the arrest hearing, the 23-year-old denied the crime. The district court decided to detain him as a suspect for probable cause.

– We question whether there were probable causes, says lawyer Mikael Halonen Carling, representative of the 23-year-old.

The police already know the alleged killer of Kjäll Gustafsson. Four months after being suspected of murdering Kjäll Gustafsson, he was convicted at the Jönköping District Court for promoting the escape and three cases of drug-related crimes.

He was drunk at the time and donned the uniform of a police officer to release a friend of the 23-year-old.

Police had searched for the perpetrator who stabbed Kjell Gustafsson for nine months when the 23-year-old was arrested at 7 a.m. Tuesday this week.

– It feels absolutely wonderful. We are very grateful that at least one of them was seized, Kjäll’s brother Stefan Citron previously told Kvällsposten.

District Attorney Adam Rullman needed an unusually short time to make the decision to request that the 23-year-old be detained. The hearing began at 11 am today.

The other thief who broke into the Ströget restaurant in Gislaved on December 14 last year is still at large.

The 23-year-old suspect has moved in after the December 14 murder. His last name has also changed.
