We will be successful next year, but that is only due to the crown situation, as we have had to cancel all of our training activities, and we have a fairly extensive training activity, says Petra Lundh.
The prosecutor’s office had requested an additional 50 million SEK for next year. But there was no extra money, prosecutor Petra Lundh now says.
– In the short term, we can handle this situation, but in a couple of years, if we do not receive any additions in 2022 and 2023, we will need to reduce staffing to achieve a balanced budget, he says.
In that case, you can act about 100 prosecutors to be fired, even though staffing would need to be increased, according to Petra Lundh. Prosecutors are very burdened, he says.
– We did an employee survey very recently, and the picture confirmed that prosecutors feel they have too high a workload.
