Allsvenskan judge has been arrested in Gothenburg

Five people have been arrested in western Sweden on suspicion of serious fraud and money laundering, says GP.

According to information from Fotbollskanalen, one of the detainees is a referee for Allsvenskan, who has refereed international matches.

On Wednesday morning, the police carried out a major raid in several locations in western Sweden.

After the attack, five people between the ages of 30 and 40 were arrested, suspected of serious fraud and money laundering, GP claims.

The police write the following about the incident on their website:

“Police suspect that the director made millions by misleading representatives of various companies. Since then, the money has been laundered through thousands of transactions through various people involved.”

Names in sports

Magnus Lindegren, head of the Police Region West fraud section, spoke with GP.

– The one we call director is a name in sports, including football. The other four are connected to him in different ways.

According to information from Fotbollskanalen, the director is a fully Swedish referee. The referee must also have refereed matches at the highest international level.
