Zlatan Ibrahimovic has never missed a professional debut and was not ready to do so now. The 38-year-old was responsible for Milan’s two full hits in their debut match against Bologna, but he doesn’t like to be reminded of his age.
Zlatan and current NHL draft Anton Lundell have one thing in common. They turn two years old on 3.10. Lundell will be 19 years old and therefore 20 years younger than the Swedish soccer star. But with Lundell still looking forward to his next birthday, Zlatan seems to have been hit by a minor age crisis.
– I’m not old, I’m like Benjamin Button, I start old and die young, he joked in the Sky interview after the game. But of course, age hurts a bit when birthday approaches.
– I don’t want people to talk about my age, I want them to treat me like everyone else. It doesn’t matter if I’m 38, I want to be treated like someone who is 20 and does the same job.
Zlatan nods his head. 1-0 to Milan.

There is nothing wrong with the form.
Pleasure age or not, in the first game of the season against Bologna, Zlatan at least proved that there is nothing wrong with his form. In the 35th minute, Theo Hernández put a cross into the penalty area and in the next second, Zlatan flew and headed in 1-0.
In the second half, he threw the ball away from the penalty spot directly into the goal. Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski barely had time to blink. A moment later he came close to scoring a hat-trick in the season opener, but he fired the ball over the goal.
The Milan star had to settle for two goals, when AC Milan beat Bologna 2-0. Subsequently, Zlatan smugly declared:
– If he had been 20 years younger, he would have scored four goals.
