The alarm went off shortly before 9 p.m. Monday.
– There are two burning townhouses in Annelund. It started in one house and spread to the other. Both houses are completely overheated and both houses are basically completely gone, Morgan Gunnarsson, internal commander, said initially.
According to the rescue service, the residents of the other houses have been evacuated.
– Currently there is a risk of spread and we do not know how it will go with the rest of the buildings. We are working to try to put out the fire and then try to limit the spread, says Morgan Gunnarsson.
Alarmed ambulance
According to SOS Alarm, an ambulance was also alerted in the area of the townhouse. The rescue service claims that all the people must have been outside the fire-damaged houses.
At 22:20 it was still burning in the two townhouses, and then another townhouse was damaged by fire.
– The third is also damaged by fire, but not as bad. Then we have a fourth townhouse that was in the hazard zone but was handled without damage, says Morgan Gunnarsson.
At the same time, he says the risk of spread still exists, albeit in a reduced form.
