Ivanka Trump’s memoir “The Trump Card” was published in 2009. There she made it very clear that “she has control over my own life.”

Shortly after graduating from college, Ivanka Trump bought an apartment on Trump Park Avenue in 2004, a property owned by her father Donald Trump, located at 59th Street and Park Avenue in New York.

“I don’t want to be in debt to him”

Ivanka Trump claimed in the book that she had not received a “friend’s price” for purchasing the 144-square-meter two-bedroom apartment.

“He would not give me an apartment and even if he did, I would not accept it. I would not want to be in debt to him that way,” Ivanka Trump wrote about her father Donald Trump in “The Trump Card.”

However, that is not true.

Forbes employee Dan Alexander presents in his new book “White House, Inc.” the documents of the purchase of the property. It claims that Ivanka Trump paid $ 968 (equivalent to 8,500 crowns) per square foot for the two-bedroom apartment, while others who bought apartments in the building had to pay an average of $ 1,667 (equivalent to just over 14,600 crowns) for square foot.

This means that Ivanka Trump received a price discount equivalent to more than 9.5 million SEK compared to other apartment buyers in the property.

Dan Alexander has contacted Ivanka Trump regarding information in her memoirs, but has received no response.
